仕上がりではなく、道具を整える
小さな作業場所を空け、身近な題材を一つ選びます。紙と道具を並べ、墨と少ない色を用意したら、完成形を決めすぎずにはがきへ向かいます。
Prepare the tools, not the result
Clear a small workspace, choose one familiar subject, arrange the paper and tools, prepare ink and a limited palette, then begin without deciding the finished result in advance.
必要なら、ごく薄い案内線を
基本ははがきに直接描きます。不安や手の動かしにくさがある場合は、始めやすくするために、ごく薄い鉛筆の案内線を使ってもかまいません。
If needed, use a very light guide
Direct drawing is the established practice. If confidence or hand movement makes starting difficult, a very light pencil guide may be used as an optional adaptation.

ゆがんだ線、思いがけないにじみ、余白も一枚の一部です。直し続けるより、もう一度題材を見て次の一歩へ進みましょう。
Uneven lines, unexpected bleeds and open paper all belong to the card. Instead of correcting endlessly, look again and take the next step.
